Smile Gallery: Real Before & After Results

Every photo below is a real KoLa Dentistry patient treated at our Austin office, published with written consent. Photos are unretouched apart from cropping, layout, and our watermark — what you see is what porcelain and careful planning can do.

Case 1 — Full Smile Makeover

Invisalign · 12 Porcelain Veneers · 8 Crowns

This patient came to us with crowded, chipped, worn and discolored front teeth. We started with Invisalign — reducing the crowding so the veneers could be more conservative, and helping level the gumline for a natural-looking result — then rebuilt the smile with 12 porcelain veneers and 8 crowns, restoring shape, symmetry and a natural white shade across both arches. The before photos below were taken after the Invisalign phase, just before the porcelain work.

Case 2 — Upper-Arch Veneer Transformation

10 Porcelain Veneers (Upper) · Take-Home Whitening (Lower)

Deep discoloration and wear across the upper teeth, transformed with 10 porcelain veneers. The veneers rebuilt tooth shape and symmetry and brightened the smile while keeping a natural translucency. The lower teeth were brightened with take-home whitening so the finished smile reads as one shade.

Smile makeover questions, answered

Yes. Every photo in the Smile Gallery is an actual patient treated at KoLa Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Austin, published with the patient’s written consent. Photos are unretouched apart from cropping, layout, and our watermark.
A veneer is a thin porcelain shell bonded to the front surface of a tooth, ideal when the tooth is mostly healthy but chipped, worn or discolored. A crown covers the entire tooth and is used when more structure is missing or the tooth needs reinforcement. Many smile makeovers combine both — Case 1 above used 12 veneers and 8 crowns together.
Aligning the teeth first reduces crowding, so veneers can be more conservative — we remove less natural tooth structure — and it helps level the gumline for a natural-looking result. In Case 1, Invisalign did exactly that before 12 veneers and 8 crowns completed the smile; the before photos above were taken after that alignment phase.
With good home care and regular checkups, porcelain veneers and crowns commonly last 10–15 years or longer. A custom night guard is often recommended to protect them if you grind or clench.
Most veneer and crown cases at KoLa Dentistry take two to three visits: a planning visit with photos and impressions, a preparation visit with temporaries, and a final visit to bond the porcelain. Cases that begin with Invisalign add the alignment phase first, which typically takes several months.
Start with a consultation at our Austin office. Dr. Kohlman or Dr. Lalezari will examine your teeth, review photos and X-rays, and walk you through options — whether that’s whitening, bonding, veneers, crowns, or Invisalign — with a written estimate before any treatment begins.
