An occlusal guard is a custom-fitted removable appliance, worn over your teeth — most often at night — to protect your smile from the effects of grinding and clenching.

Caring for your guard

Rinse it after each use, brush it gently like you would a retainer, and store it in its case during the day. With regular care, a custom occlusal guard holds up for years of nightly wear.
