Restorative

Fixed Bridges

A fixed bridge is a non-removable restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth (or teeth) to the natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Why choose a bridge

  • Fills the space left by missing teeth
  • Preserves the natural shape of your face
  • Prevents remaining teeth from drifting out of position
  • Restores your bite and speech
  • A permanent alternative to a removable partial denture

The process

At your first visit, we prepare the two anchor teeth by removing a small amount of enamel to make room for crowns, then take an impression to have your custom bridge fabricated, and fit you with a temporary bridge in the meantime. At your next visit, we check the fit and bite of your permanent bridge and cement it securely in place.

Caring for your bridge

With proper brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits, a fixed bridge is highly durable and can last for many years.
