Curodont

Curodont is a biomimetic treatment that can repair the very earliest stages of tooth decay — before a cavity ever forms — without any drilling, anesthesia, or discomfort.

How it works

Curodont uses a self-assembling peptide technology that mimics the natural building blocks of tooth enamel. Once applied, it forms a scaffold deep within an early enamel lesion that attracts calcium and phosphate — the minerals your saliva already provides — guiding your tooth to regenerate and re-harden its own structure from the inside out.

Who it's for

  • Early "white spot" lesions, often found after braces or aligners come off
  • Incipient decay caught on X-rays before it's progressed to a true cavity
  • Patients who want to avoid a filling for the earliest, most reversible stage of decay
  • Children and adults alike — the treatment is gentle and completely painless

The process

Treatment takes just one short visit. We clean and prepare the tooth surface, apply a gel to gently open the lesion, then apply the Curodont treatment directly to the affected area. No numbing, no drilling, and no downtime — you can eat and drink normally right away.

Why we love it

Curodont lets us treat decay at its earliest, most conservative stage — often the difference between a simple, painless treatment today and a filling (or more) down the road. We'll let you know at your regular checkups if you're a good candidate.

Frequently asked questions

No — Curodont™ requires no drilling, numbing, or anesthesia, and most patients feel nothing during treatment.
It works best on the earliest stages of tooth decay, before a cavity has fully formed. We'll let you know at your checkup if you're a good candidate.
Curodont™ uses a peptide-based solution that penetrates an early enamel lesion and forms a matrix that guides minerals from your own saliva to rebuild the enamel from within — repairing the very earliest stage of decay without drilling or anesthesia.
Application takes just a few minutes during a regular visit. We then monitor the treated spot at your routine checkups as the enamel remineralizes over the following months.
